Anyone tasked with running cables, wire, and piping through open-cut trenches or existing carrier piping, such as those engaged in the design and build/construction of data centres in the UK, Ireland and beyond, will recognise the added-value role of bore and duct spacers in facilitating the endeavour.
Manufactured from Polypropylene or high-strength HDPE, bore spacers are designed to support and cradle conduit for ease of installation under railways, highways or other potential obstacles, for casing pipes sizes of 20.32cm (8”) to 243.84cm (96”) diameter. Each spacer is custom-made to your own requirements so as to maintain accurate conduit position and alignment, a conduit bank weight balancing on either centreline. The spacers also feature wheels and strategically positioned holes that allow for the optimum free-flow of grout to eliminate the potential pitfall of voids.
The clear benefits the spacers bring to bear are reduced installation time, isolation, and enhanced efficiency and performance, so that the installation is correct every time.
Designed for cut segments of conduit installation, trenches being a typical example, duct bank spacers are made from 1.3cm (0.5”) or 1.9cm (0.75)” high density, stress-relieved polyethylene. Installed and spaced to support every 5ft of duct, their application does not call for features such as roller/wheels.
