New Service: Fully Managed Maintenance for Gas Pressure Reducing Installations
Posted on Sep 11, 2025FT Gas Control is pleased to announce that we are now able to offer a new service in the form of a fully managed maintenance package for any existing gas pressure reducing installations that you own. Our experienced engineer will visit your site and carry out a comprehensive survey and health check on your asset. After the survey, our engineer will explain their recommendations to you so you can understand what you need to do to comply with national legislation and gas industry standards. The survey recommendations will be based on the specification and age of the equipment and its criticality to your business.
We have recently carried out a survey for a client whose pressure reduction installation was nearly 35 years old. The survey identified what maintenance activities needed to be completed, taking into consideration the obsolescence of the equipment with the aim of maintaining safety and compliance without putting downstream operations at risk. A feasibility study was carried out for a replacement pressure reduction stream so the client could consider the cost/risk to their business of operating an old asset that could fail suddenly beyond repair.
Our aim with this service is to add value to you, the client, and we can do this by offering a totally bespoke maintenance regime including, where necessary, mechanical examination, CAD Services, NDT services and complete replacement/overhauls. All maintenance activities come backed with a comprehensive report, which is a great way of keeping track of your asset’s health and showing active compliance to third-party stakeholders.
