Visit us at IGEM’s biogas / biomethane event in Kegworth
Posted on Jun 13, 2024FT Gas Control will be exhibiting at the IGEM Conference on 15 October 2024 at IGEM House in Kegworth: From Waste to Energy: Unlocking the Potential of Biogas and Biomethane.
As we continue to work towards a sustainable future and decarbonising the UK, a diverse range of technologies and approaches will be necessary. You are invited to join the Institute of Gas Engineers and Managers (IGEM) Company Members in Ludlow for a day dedicated to exploring the current state of the biogas/methane sector, identifying potential barriers, and uncovering the opportunities biogas/methane presents. This event promises an informative day filled with industry leading speakers and engaging discussion.
Production of biogas is a route that has many multifaceted benefits: it can be upgraded to biomethane, which is an adaptable fuel that is increasingly contributing to decarbonising challenging sectors such as heavy transport and machinery, industrial processes, agriculture and can be injected into the gas grid, directly replacing natural gas.
In addition, AD’s use of ‘wet waste’ as feedstocks, including food waste, slurries, manures and sewage, also offers a critical waste management solution and a means to decarbonise the waste sector. In the agricultural sector, biogas can play a pivotal role in creating a circular economy by replacing fossil fertilisers with digestate, an organic fertiliser.
FT Gas Control leads the world in the latest pressure controlled technologies for renewable gases and we look forward to seeing you at the event.
- We use the superb range of Gascat regulators and safety devices for natural gas, hydrogen, biomethane, CNG, ammonia and biogas
- All materials are resistant to any aggressive gases
- 380bar right down to mbar
- FT Gas also designs and builds pre-heat systems to negate the JT effect.
